Dynamic Analysis : An advance analysis

It is an advance and most challenging analysis according to International Building code (IBC) which shows dynamic structural response of the building.





Here ,I have established a very close comparison in material requirement in two different method.These two different method is elastic analysis and dynamic analysis.Material requirement depends on many factors such as---

A) Skyscraper/Tall building.

 B) Diaphragm action.

 C) Amplified Moment

 D) Torsion governs.

 E) Type of Ductile design

 F) Performance based design

 G) Lateral load resisted by gravity load resisting system pattern.


The previous image shows column fails due to insufficient material in dynamic analysis,where as next image shows material requirement in elastic analysis & all these columns are well satisfied with the given material.
