CHAPTER-08 : STAAD Pro. FOR STEEL BUILDING

Design procedure  of STEEL building using STAAD ProV8i is more complex than design procedure of RCC building.Here, I am showing comprehensiveness of STAAD PRo.V8i for STEEL building,as an example I have choosen a 6-storied steel building.In this CHAPTER, I have ignored some steps as these are given in my previous CHAPTER.


 After assigning RCC slab 3-D view will be as follows.......


Beam to beam & Column to beam connection may be flexible/inflexible or may be fixed/rigid/semi-rigid.After assigning member connection specification 3-D view will be look like this.....
After assigning member properties,material properties,Gravity load,lateral load/wind load,Seismic /Earthquake definition,design code you can go to analysis & design step.Now let us check the maximum node displacement in post-processing mode.
