MS-PROJECT PROGRAM
(Part 2.3 )
Tracking GANTT: It's a very significant but simple feature of MS-Project which gives you the current status of the Project such as percent completion, required shortest path to complete project in due time etc.
To get some necessary table to prepare Reports ,first of all you have to set printer information just like the following figure.
View cost per task:
The sum of individual task
costs make up most if not all of the total project cost. To view the
total cost of each task:
1) Select View on
the menu bar, click Table , and then choose Cost.
2) Scroll the table on the
left to view the Total Cost field. Alternatively, pull the partition
back to the right to view more of
the table and less of the Gantt Chart.
View cost per Resource:
This helps you to know the
total cost of that resource for all the tasks the resource is
assigned to.
1. On the
vertical View Bar on the left, click Resource Sheet.
2. Select View
on the menu bar, point to the table , and then click Cost.
View Total Project costs:
1. On the Project menu,
click Project Information.
2. Click Statistics .
What is an S-Curve?
An S-curve is defined as : "A display of cumulative costs, labor hours or other quantities plotted against time. The name derives from the S-like shape of the curve, flatter at the beginning and end and steeper in the middle, which is typical of most projects. The beginning represents a slow, deliberate but accelerating start, while the end represents a deceleration as the works runout."
Types of S-curve: There are a variety of S-curves that are applicable for project management applications, including:
A) Man Hours vs Time S-cuves.
B) Cumulative Costs vs Time S-curves.
C) Baseline S-curves.
D) Actual S-curves.
E) Tergate S-curves.
F) Value and Percentage S-curve.

Post-Mortem of Project : Next figure illustrates the whole scenario of the project.
In MS-Project there are lots of feature which are necessary for real-life project management schedule ,prepare report,to compare project budget with estimated cost and for many more problem solution.......if you need you can go ....VIEW>MORE VIEW >NEW WINDOW........ect.....
