RCC Frame Analysis ,Design & Detailing
Approximately all of the Structural Design Engineer in Bangladesh use ETABS for RCC building design & detail.Use of it for STEEL building design & detail is very limited due to lack of proper knowledge on design procedure by ETABS.
A typical RCC Frame(Beam supported by Column) design & detailing procedure will be discussed in this chapter which may be mentioned as 2-D analysis procedure.
A view of a frame after assigning different types of load such as Concentrated load(kip),Uniformly Varying load (kip/ft)/triangular/trapezoidal load.
After assigning material properties,member poperties ,support condition,design code..... you can run the program as trial and error process untill you get the desired member section as well as reinforcement.
The next two figure shows Reinforcement in column & beam respectively....
